Each set of four roofing slate coasters come from a building in the New Orleans French Quarter where most were on homes before the Great Depression.
When the daughter of a deceased New Orleans architecture collector contacted artist Taylor Anne, her idea was for something special to be created on these slates in her father's memory. After seeing the finished slate, Taylor Anne fell in love with the potential and purchased his entire collection.
Each coaster is considered an original work of art and a piece of New Orleans history. Not one coaster is the same and the natural chipping add a unique touch to each piece.
